Yes folks, following up on her work with our very own Lana Wald on CBA and CUA of CBT and LT for SAD (maximym acronym packing achieved!), Robyn temporarily left DC for South Carolina. Today she wrote:
“I am happy to say that I have been accepted to the Family Services Research Lab Center at the Medical University of South Carolina! It is a non-paid research assistant position, but I believe it will be a worthwhile experience.
I will be assisting my supervisor on her project on substance use and delinquent behavior among adolescent girls. A little bit of law and psychology, I suppose! I will be conducting direct assessments with the girls, do data entry, etc., and I think the best part is getting the opportunity to work on this project from start to finish.
Being a part of PERL and having you both as mentors definitely helped me gain confidence in doing more research. Thank you for that! :)
I'm hoping this position will open more doors in the future and give me a clearer vision of what topic of research interests me. Although I am in Charleston, I plan on visiting DC soon and hope I can see the both of you then! I do plan on returning to DC eventually… "
